Perfumery-Real components = phenomenal results?
Ahhh, so many oils......so little time, lol. I have recently started working with essential oils, absolutes and more, you know, trying my hand at Natural Perfumery. What a terrific experience. Just the aroma of a pure and natural botanical extract can be a mystical experience. I cannot fathom the reason why the popular (commercial) blends of perfumes and colognes, which are ubiquitous in today's retail market, have been relegated to the use of synthetic compounds. I guess that cost of material and tenacity of product are the dominant, ruling, factors in today's Perfume Industry. If I were a celebrity or a world famous designer, I think that I would be embarrassed to associate my name with a product that contained as much as 90% fabricated ingredients. It seems like "everything" these days is focused on the sole basis of the "almighty dollar". Well, not me! Whatever "I" put on my skin, from here on out, is gonna be "real" baby! I will try not compromise on the level of my standards and expectations. I wonder if anyone else out there, feels the same way? Anyone feel like "kicking it around"? Unless I blow myself up while attempting to reduce the alcohol levels in some of my tinctures, I shall return, lol.
